REFLIB Terms of Use
1. Nature of these terms
1.1 Your licence to REFLIB is obtained through the App Store and governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple Standard EULA"). These terms supplement that agreement for matters specific to REFLIB and do not replace it. Where they conflict, the Apple Standard EULA prevails to the extent of the conflict.
1.2 You must agree to these terms to use REFLIB. If you do not agree, please delete the app.
2. What REFLIB is
2.1 REFLIB is a web browser that runs entirely on your iPhone. It has no account system, no cloud sync, and we operate no server that receives your data. Bookmarks, history, reading list, downloaded files and settings are stored only on your device.
2.2 REFLIB connects to the network only to: (a) load the web addresses you type or tap; (b) send the search terms you type to the search engine you have chosen; (c) let iOS download on-device language packs from Apple when you translate with Apple; (d) hand the page address to Google's web translation service when you choose to translate with Google; and (e) download files you explicitly request. See the Privacy Policy.
3. Websites and content you access
3.1 REFLIB does not review, filter or recommend any web content. The websites you visit, the content you view, the information you submit and any relationship you have with those websites are your own responsibility and are governed by those websites' own terms and privacy policies.
3.2 You agree to use REFLIB lawfully and not to use it to infringe others' rights, circumvent technical protection measures or break applicable law.
4. File downloads
4.1 REFLIB downloads files only when you explicitly ask it to: by long-pressing a link and choosing "Download Link", by tapping "Save File" on a file page, or when a website itself serves a file as an attachment. REFLIB does not detect, extract or save streaming media embedded in web pages.
4.2 Downloaded files are stored in the app's Downloads folder (visible in the Files app). You are responsible for the lawfulness of the sources you download from and for how you use the files.
5. Tracker protection and translation
5.1 The built-in tracker protection blocks a list of known tracking domains that ships with the app, reducing cross-site identification. It cannot guarantee that all tracking is blocked and may occasionally break individual websites. REFLIB is not an ad blocker and does not remove advertisements from web pages. You can turn the feature off at any time.
5.2 Web page translation is performed either by Apple's on-device translation framework or by Google Translate's web page service, as you choose in Settings. When you use Google Translate the page address is sent to Google and is governed by Google's terms and privacy policy. Translations may be inaccurate and should not be relied on for legal, medical or financial decisions.
6. No warranty
6.1 REFLIB is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or the accuracy or safety of any content you access.
7. Limitation of liability
7.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, MNV LIMITED is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of profit or business interruption. Our aggregate liability is capped as set out in the Apple Standard EULA.
7.2 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Your rights under the Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 71) and other applicable consumer protection laws are unaffected.
8. Changes
8.1 We may update these terms. When changes are material, the app will ask you to confirm again on the next launch.
9. Governing law
9.1 These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
